Pedestrian injury remains the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death among children ages 5 to 14. Practical, skills-based pedestrian safety training efforts have demonstrated improvements in Children's traffic behavior.

International Walk To School Day
The International Walk to School Day event is used in the Safe Kids
Walk This Way™ Program to raise community awareness about children’s
environmental safety. See Calendar for fall events.

Walking School Bus (for Elementary)
The Walking School Bus is a year-round initiative used to encourage
parents & children to practice safe walking behaviors everyday.
